Dawn Dickerson, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), EMDR Trained

Dawn graduated with honors from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Dawn also earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from Indiana University in History and French.

Dawn completed her training at Community Health Network’s school-based counseling program and St. Vincent’s Adult Inpatient Program. She began her counseling career at Eskenazi Health Midtown Children’s Outpatient Program where she worked for two years.  She is trained in EMDR, family systems, play therapy, DBT, emotions focused therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and other experiential therapies. 

Dawn has an integrated and collaborative approach to her therapy practice, focusing on continually supporting clients as they work toward their goals.  Her passion is seeing both individuals and families work through and go on to thrive in every aspect of their lives.  She believes people long to be whole, not only psychologically, emotionally and spiritually, but relationally as well.  

During graduate school, Dawn was elected into Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society Association of College Honor Societies, recognized for scholastic and professional excellence.  She is currently a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and EMDRIA International.  Dawn has also been a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals. 

Dawn and her husband Tim have been married for over 30 years. They have four children and one wonderful grandchild.  Her hobbies include reading, gardening, a variety of music, and she is currently learning Hebrew.
